New England Female Liberation Conference is held.

Hosted by Bread and Roses, a grassroots feminist organization, it is held at Marian Hall at Emmanuel College Among the workshops is one called “Women and Their Bodies,” which leads to formation of the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective in 1970 and publication of their groundbreaking book in 1971.*
